the glory of life

the glory
of this
only
now
can we be
fully
yes
and this
now
is
not the last one
and who's
counting

what counts
is
this
love
of whatever
we are loving
and sky cloud song bird bird song
slight wink
high links
low down
to the ground

it's all around
life

you gotta
love
it

no you
don't gotta
you can
love it
now

the choice
is mine
your
s
ours

shall we dance
all our sweet
ness
in this
glory??

yes

and as Gerald Manley Hopkins (1844-1889)
once wrote:

Glory be to God for dappled things,
For skies of couple-color as a brinded cow,
For rose-moles all in stipple upon trout that swim;
Fresh-firecoal chestnut-falls, finches' wings;
Landscape plotted and pieced, fold, fallow and plough,
And all trades, their gear and tackle and trim.
All things counter, original, spare, strange,
Whatever is fickle, freckled (who knows how?)
With swift, slow; sweet, sour; adazzle, dim.
He fathers-forth whose beauty is past change;
Praise him.

so happiness
of driving
an SUV up a desert
cliff
ala
tv ads
years ago
when i had a tv
dumb
not happiness

the happiness
of following
our breathing
while we listen
to someone
we love
talk
(and who is there not to
love
in this silly
wonderful
and amazing world)

the happiness
of looking at the sky
the birds
the Earth

hey,
happy Earth Day

great little article
by Richard Dale
today
in the Sonoma Index Trib

and you
could,
without too much trouble
find some
Earth oriented things
here and there
on this site

and hey,
this is just a computer

you are alive
i am alive

let'
s
get outside
and walk
slowly
and delightfully
in this glorious
day
of
our lives

yes
