the joy of today

when i woke
the stars
were still shining

Marlie and I were outside
on a sweet wool and organic cotton mattress
under a wool comforter
on a sweet deck
under the sweet stars

then
the dawn
came,
no stars
no sun

then i got up
and did this
and that

put a little water on the garden
came inside and did some yoga
and Feldenkrais

now
i'm here
the sun
is up
and the
day is continuing
to be sweet

is this because
i'm
in the present
a bunch

i think
so
