leaves and old zuchini plant

Go buy some
hay,
not straw
oat hay,
alfalfa,
whatever the local feed store has,
get some different kinds,

put them on the ground,
over newspaper and junk mail,
over manure if you've got any
you can get to,
over kitchen stuff
and old plants,

pile on the hay,
make yourself
a nice mound

let it rot
and
you
are making soil

feeding
the Earth

soon:
this soil
could be
feeding you.
