Ze Joy of eet All, yes, yez

this moment

fades
it is already gone

we don't know what the
next
will be
and
to surf that moment

is a thrill

an always available thrill

the ultimate cure for
boredom

and the only way to love

because if we love
we have to be seeing,
hearing,
touching,
smelling,
"getting"
the person in front of us,
right now,
otherwise we are interacting with
our story of them,
our mental construct

that's not love
that's the head
make a match
maybe even a "this is love"
match

but without the present,
smelling that rose,
you don't love
the rose,
just the idea of the rose

we are alive
this instant

that's an idea
until you experience the sweet amazing
wonder
of YOU
ALIVE

right now.

That's the new title page to me website:
SAVE THE WORLD:
WAKE THE F.... UP TO NOW!

The world is to the living

Without the Now
we are mindless creatures,
maybe in high grade automatic,
but still
mindless or mindful

and what's more fun?

wake up to this moment
and you won't even need to tell
me
or
yourself
or
anyone

the reward is there,
here
now

eternally
here
now

and...
hey, if we want a better life:

happier
more free in body,
thinking better,
contented soul

where to start?

where else can any action
come from
but
ze goot ole NOw

this moment

"buddha barn"
on Orcas Island
(workshop there coming up this weekend,
see Orcas Island Workshop)

this moment
is
all there is

even
if
I'm hungry

and I've committed
myself
to getting a certain
section of writing
done
before
I eat

Mystical Experiences

There is a big to do
on one of the Internet
forums
about mystical experiences.

Everyone has an opinion.

Me, too:

Mystical experiences are fine.

Everyday happiness is fine.

Thinking, talking, explaining them
is much, much less useful
than we might think,
hope and imagine,

as we boast/ rhapsodize / swoon over
the marvels
of
not happening now,
glories.

Five lines, happiness and death

on belly over table

Once we were born
Someday we die

long time
in skeleton-land

skeleton:

spine holds up head
arms off shoulder things

legs off pelvis thing,
at hip joints

if sitting:
we are sitting on the pelvis thing

sense that
now

enjoy,
move and
learn
and love
from there:

grab someone cute
and have some fun:

now we are alive

someday
we'll be dead

good

(for waking up)

Mindful gardening, mindful moving, mindful living

Mindful gardening, mindful moving, mindful living

What's the secret
to all three?

Slow down.

Don't think
about "What's next?"

Don't judge:
good, bad.

Sense yourself now.

Perhaps the five lines:
two legs, two arms, spine.

Perhaps the breathing.

Perhaps:
what am I seeing, now.
What am I hearing now.

What is the feel and shape
of my movement, moving, being,
living,
now?

Good.

And The Work
continues over at 108 Days, Undoing with Love and Learning.

today's story:
I'm a big fat failure without a forever
relationship with Marlie>
Is that true?

life is good

put plants
here
there
and everywhere
this
morning

taking advantage
of the sweet fog

then
had greens
and raw
chocolate for breakfast

and now
we are off
to see Marlie's
Pa
for fa's
day

la
la

breathing
doing
tai chi with rocks in hand
digging
talking with awareness that
this moment
is like
now

being told
i shouldn't say
things like
i said
in yesterday's
blog

all
sweet
life
is
good
