Hello Sonoma, hilarious findings

the sweet Sonoma
spring

the whine weedwhackers

the rush of cars

and our life
our life
now

it is always with
us

when can
we find time
to be out of time:
and into

I AM ALIVE?

;;;;

Hilarious findings:

this pal of mine
I called in Hawaii
to see if he could help
me set up a month travel
there
took the information
of Marlie and I
parting
and found
a way
to a love
that maybe
had been smoldering in the background

so now Marlie
and Ramaia
have a nice thing going

good

love is good

when you love someone(s)
you want them to be
happy

good

sweet,
eh?

One thing leads to another

Upon awakening this morning,
I was in the mood,
as often,
for the conscious and slow
and attentive and
deliberate movements,
invented a bit,
repeated from old favorites a bit,
of my Feldenkrais self.

But today,
I had the urge for some weight bearing
to accompany the moving
and discovering.

I am staying now
with my daughter in Oakland,
an amazing and beautiful light filled
apartment,
with none
however
of the rocks I often like to use
as weights.

But she has what many of
us
can easily use for a little lifting
and moving weight:
books.

So I found some big heavy books
and moved them around,
and being a reader,
couldn't help but search/ gaze/ explore through
her huge number of other books
as I lifted and twirled and moved.

One title popped out:
No god but God.

Opening it
and reading where the opening fell
I came to learn that in Islam,
the Qu'ran itself, the beauty
and fullness and richness of its language,
as the Word of God through
Mohamed the Messenger,
is the miracle.
(Moses need magic as his miracle thing,
Jesus needed healing.
The Qu'ran is the miracle for Islam>

Anyway
reading in one hand,
some book weight moving in another,
then
pages move along
skipping here
and there

and an old
friend,
the light verse:

here is goes:

God is the light of the Heavens and the Earth.
His light is like a niche in a wall in which there is a lamp,
The lamp is within a glass, and the glass is a shimmering star,
Lit with the oil of an olive tree----
A tree neither of the East nor of the West---
Whose oil glows though fire touches it not:
Light upon Light!
God guides to His light whomever He will.
God gives examples to humanity,
and God has knowledge of everything.

What's love got to do with it, 2?

flower

what's love got to do with it:

everything

and when
we hurt
are in
pain
wish we / they / the world
was treating us better

then we feel
the pain of not
being in love
with the Now

and maybe
that wakes us
up

maybe not

an amazing
and huge
and every second/ moment
present
choice

good.

What's good about being alive?

river dog
"River," my Atlanta walking buddy

sometimes life seems good
sometimes not

the great separator
can often
be
to come to awareness
to nowness
to knowing we are alive and
what we are doing
or not doing now

to be aware
creates
in me
and probably in you
the possibility of every moment

being good about being alive

now
sitting
cold a bit
phone ringing
now awaring of my breathing
now realizing with a bit of an inner sigh
that i'm speeding in my typing

not slow
not as aware
of feet
and spine
and arms
and ribs
as i now am

when i slow down

again
and
again
and
again
on my travels
i see this:

people rushing through life
like me rushing through typing
till i came back to awareness

and when in a hurry
we miss
only this....
the sweetness of know
knowing
feeling sensing
being

alive

ah,
sigh
slow

good

beauty as we go along

Life on Earth:::::

Today was one of those beautiful days
on planet Earth:

sunrise
warmish weather
trees beginning to blossom

the spring thing
yes

but also,
inside the Chris Elms
game
realizing that I can either be hard on
myself
when things aren't "just so" with the masses
running to do the Neurological Upgrading work,

or I can accept
and love the present
for what it happens
to be bringing

such sweetness
when I go there

What is the meaning of the resurrection?

Here in the South
going to church is serious business
and being a Christian
is a part of
life

and what does it mean to be
a Christian?

well,
to some people it means
what you believe.

to me it means:
can you love your enemies
and forgive those who
supposedly have "hurt" you

and this
for starters
is what the resurrection
is about:

"dying" to our story
about how bad/ awful/ hurtful/ wrong
the other person
was

and resurrecting
in the "kingdom of heaven"
where we can love
anyone
and everyone

even the bad/ awful/ hurtful / wrong
person

Love, Forgiveness, Busy-ness

To love means
to spend a kind of time
with another of
God's creatures
on this sweet and amazing Earth

a kind of
timeless time,
real time
out of time,
just being there

where you slow down,
we slow down,
I slow down,
we all slow down

and listen to each other.

One person talks.
Another listens.

You/ we / I
look at the person we're talking to.

Our schedule
our hurry
our timetable
isn't more important than
that other person.

They are there,
they are precious.
We neither of us will be here
forever
we extol in that wonder.

Too busy
for love.
Maybe we don't need to
do
that to ourselves.

And forgiveness.

Well, we mes up.
We realize we did
something out
of the me-me-me
mode
(that's always how we mess up)

we realize that

we ask for forgiveness

other people grant
this
or they
don't

and here's the kicker:
if they don't:
it's their business.

Easy enough to remember times
we were to me-me-me
to forgive
and go ahead
and forgive them
for their lack of forgiving us.

Cutting all the corners:
we might as well forgive ourselves.

What's love got to do with it?

in any life
there are disappointments

well, in any life that
the mind carries expectations,
there are disappointments

there are several ways
of responding:

sorrow

anger

feeling cheated

these are all "normal"
and
with intelligence
and self love
can be seen to lead only to more suffering

so,
what are we to do?

the work of byron katie,
perhaps

or,
to realize
that right now
we can be
present
to something
real
and that that
something real
is the core
of our life
right now

if this doesn't
make
sense

be curious
if you have time
to read
it
again

Snow in Atlanta: Sunday's gift to 5 million people

In the Bible,
and a possibility
in life:
40 days in the desert (of change)
for Lent

and me:
my 20 days in Tucson
over (see, if you wish: TravelHeal/Tucson)

and life
moves
on

the constant
being change
and its sweet opportunity
to live
in each
and every now.

an exciting
shift from the desert,
now, to the south east,
and sprawling city
and hospitable people

hosted by the Hicks family:

Lee
Fredda
Bentley-Grace
Henry

(here's one of Lee's blogspots:
Advanced Collaboration)

and,
today in
Atlanta....

SNOW:

from Thursday
when I came into Atlanta,

it's been

overcast
so far
full time

rain some days,
including during a race
Saturday

after which I
gave a few sample lessons
in the gym

and today:
big Church
huge
two choirs
six hundred people
or so in attendance
a dinning hall twice
the size of Sonoma Community Center
for church meal
after either 8:45 or 11:15 service

on the way
home:
lots of snow

lots of wet juicy
snow
lots of
love:

good
