parents

the rest of us
have this or that which
could
have been
better


and
the crummy parts
are the heart love
muscle
building
parts

because
as Jesus said:
anyone can love someone who's
treating
you
super duper well

so
anyway...

good parents
okay parents
lousy parents

it's all a chance to
love
various people
for what they
were
and
not some ideal
of how they should have
been

and
wouldn't
that be a nice
model
for how
to love
ourselves?
